When it comes to having a strong and defined core, few people can compare to the vikings. These fierce warriors were known for their ability to withstand any enemy, and part of that strength came from their shredded abs.
Luckily, you don’t have to be a viking to achieve a similar look. By following this simple workout routine, you can get abs that are just as impressive as the vikings.
The first exercise is a classic sit-up. Start by lying on your back with your knees bent and your feet flat on the ground. Place your hands behind your head and slowly lift your torso up until your elbows touch your knees. Return to the starting position and repeat for 10-15 reps.
The second exercise is a variation of the sit-up, known as the Russian twist. Start in the same position as the sit-up, but this time keep your knees bent and your feet off the ground. Place your hands on your temples and twist your torso to the left and then to the right. Return to the starting position and repeat for 10-15 reps.
The last exercise is the side plank. Start by lying on your side with your legs extended and your elbow directly beneath your shoulder. Use your elbow and feet to raise your body up off the ground, so that only your side is touching the ground. Hold this position for 30 seconds, then return to the starting position and repeat on the other side.
