Marie__coach, a certified fitness trainer, recommends the following exercise routine for 3-6 rounds to tone the abs, depending on the level of the individual.

This exercise routine targets the rectus abdominis, which are the muscles in the front of the abdomen.

1. Begin in a seated position with your knees bent and feet flat on the ground.

2. Place your hands behind your head, and lift your torso up so that your back is straight and your chin is level with your chest.

3. exhale as you curl your torso up, and contract your abs.

4. Inhale as you lower your torso back down to the starting position.

5. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
